Recently got a 5.1 speaker, and now i always have to go to surround mixer with Audigy to enable 5.1 (everything computer restart, it goes back to default 5.1).

SO i want to know where do you go to save the setting so it 5.1!

There should be a place in the Creative Mixer to do so. Ugh, it's been too long since I had an Audigy to remember properly, but I know it's in there somewhere. You can choose between 2, 4, and 5.1 I think.

It should be in Control Panel -> AudioHQ -> Speaker

Go to the speaker tab on the top and the drop down menu will have 4 options, 4-speaker, 2-speaker, headphones, 5.1 speakers.

this should help, tell me if it doesn't

And also, are you clicking "apply" or just "OK"?

Gaming

Hey Ive had the same problem with my sound card. I have a sound blaster audigy 2 platinum with klipsch 4.1 speakers runnin off it, and runnin on windows XP. every time i restarted, my sound card would go to 2.1, so I'd have to change it back to 4.1 every time. finally, I decided to calibrate my speakers (the option should be right under where u choose what type of speakers you have connected). Once ur done calibrating them, check the lil box to the left of the "speaker calibration selection". Now once u restart, ur sound card should stay at whetever u set it to. hope this helps!
