Sis or Via.........which is the way togo??

being a novice,
i wanted to know what is the difference between Via and Sis based mobo's

i dunno which to get, which is better

educate me.........

They claim via boards are faster.
Check out tomshardware (www.tomshardware.com) for tests between different chipsets.

SIS is the cheapest, that I know for sure, via comes next and I think nvidia is the most expensive.

You cannot judge technology by price too much anymore, just look at AMD and Intel.

But IMO between the 2 I would go for VIA, better reputation and features.
