Hi
I received an email today saying that someone had posted a "report" about my email address with www.wordofmouth.com. I went to the site and there were 4 records about my email address - two requests for info and two posts of info. Everything is reputed to be anonymous.
I didn't log into the site but I am VERY uncomfortable about what might be going on there. Anyone know anything about this site? Its FAQ says it is prompting "word of mouth" as a new powerful information tool and that it is totally legit.
Something seems fishy to me!

My guess is they're 'fishing' for you to sign up and give other people's information in exchange for prizes and gifts etc and somebody else you know was possibly sucked into it. Either that or they just picked up your email address from some public area like a website.

Thats not the site the link in the email I received sent me! When I went back to my email to check the exact link, the message was gone. I don't recall deleting it either. I guess I'll wait until the next one shows up...sorry.

I think you'll see why it is disturbing to me. It seems like a nasty fishing expedition for personal data...I don't like it one bit and am considering forwarding this info to the authorities (State Attrny General or....)

It seems to be associated with www.researchingpeople.com(found in the email "from" part) but that website doesnt exist...

Any ideas? Thanks
