ASUS My Logo

I bought an ASUS mobo A7S333 (which is by the way, a great mobo). In its description it states that is has "MyLogo" ability. What is that? Is it when i can put my own logo instead of default ASUS boot screen?

Yup, get the instructions at asus site or just thumb your way through it. You use the flash prog "asus update" for windows. And select options then "my logo" feature and pic the pic. Thats not exact-just trying to remeber. I checked it out myself. Have the "my logo2" myself. The original is just lower res. pic at boot. Only dif. Warning though-it does involve flashing the bios-so all the dangers are the same. Yunno, proceed with caution and all that.

My fic az-11 mobo came with that but it involves flashing the bios if you want to change the screen. I don't think it's worth the risk. I didn't do mine.

power spikes, outages, software bugs, any of the 500 things that could go wrong when you do it and render your board utterly useless as more than a really expensive paper weight.

I'm sure we're very careful with bios flashing. Tell my friend that after his floppy quit on him during flashing. He'll tell you what he thinks about your opinion.

I'm still trying to figure out if flashing in windows is a good idea or not....
