Systems Adobe illustrator 10

Alright everyone, long time no contact. Kind of a tricky situation, I had an illegal copy of adobe illustrator 10 on my wife's HP 760n. We had to do a reinstall of the OS (winxp) and then she tried to install the program again. Yada Yada yada, she screwed something up and tried to uninstall it. Now, we went out and got the trial version from Adobe but when we try to install it we keep getting and error message that a file is missing or corrupted, here it is:
Component: WindowsSystem Files
File Group: MSVCRT
File: <suMSCVRT>\
Error: File name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Any idea what that is and how I should correct it??
Thanks to all who reply...

No, the trial lock on Adobe stuff is a good one. What you're asking for is a crack. Posting a crack for it would get you into trouble. Its only 30 days so install it somewhere else or reinstall XP.

A crack is illegal and forbiden on these forums. If your asking for something illegal then the Mods will close your thread and maybe ban you from these forums.

This is the type of problem that happens when you try and get around things. Had you bought a legal version of Adobe you probably wouldnt be having this issue and if you were...Adobe would be helping you with their great customer support.

Yes, I know that cracked programs are illegal but that is not what I am asking for. What I want to know is what that message is? Also, the "illegal" version that I had on before was nothing more than the trial version that I kept re-installing. I know it would be better to have the whole program but, $400 is not with in my budget right now. So, just wanted to know if there was anyway to recover this problem with out reinstalling XP.

thanks to all and thanks for the warning.

So your not asking on how to get a cracked program but asking us to help you recover a cracked program. Isn't that the same thing.

No, remove the crap on my computer, not crack the program. yes, you are correct, I made a mistake in thinking that I could get around it. Bad judgement on my part, yes but, I've learned my lesson and now want to atone for it. I don't want the damn program on my computer anymore but I am afraid that it is still there and I don't want to go and delete anything out of my registry. Just wanted some advice of how to rid myself of the program, not use it or fix it.

thanks

I think he wants us to tell him how to remove all traces of the trial version so he can re-install it over & over again. Isn't that the same thing?
