Give the guy a break. He's wanting to get rid of the illegal copy of adobe, and put the trial on there, the way it's supposed to be. I do not condone any illegit copies of software, but he's trying to do the right thing here.

The logic is circular. The free trial leaves "crap on [the] computer".
The "crap" is the lock that prevents the trial from being cracked.
"The trial version that I kept re-installing".
That's why they put "crap" in the trial. Getting around that is a "crack".

My god, you people are really on a morallity trip, didn't I explain it over and over and over and over. I do not want to crack the program, I want it off of my computer, I can't remove it, do you understand. also, have anyone of you made a mistake before??? or are all of you perfect? I made a mistake and am tring to do the right thing but all you keep doing is telling me that I'm wrong?!?! I don't even want the program any more, in fact I bought the program but I CAN NOT INSTALL IT BECAUSE OF THE TRIAL VERSION STILL BEING IN THE SYSTEM SOMEWHERE!!!!! I will repeat myself again, I am not trying to crack the program, I want it off of my system so that I do not get anymore error messages and so that the instalation file is gone! I can't remove it from the control panel because everytime I try to it brings me into the modify install screen, I can't get rid of that. I am not a hacker, so what I made a mistake, damn, I make alot worse ones than that, would I even bring a Crack question to a Legal Forum??? Do you all take me for an Idiot? I am not that bright but, if I'm requesting illegal information why hasn't the moderator (whomever you are) delete me from the system? I am trying to correct the error I made, not compound it??? I thought you all were supposed to help not make my life hell? Also, if I was trying to crack the program would I have been up front and told you all that I had an illegal copy??? That would be like sending a letter to congress asking if it is ok to buy this dime bag off of the street, stupidity..... If there is nothing I can do but reinstall my os then so be it, I did not want to try and do that since this is the second time I have installed it on that machine and I would have to call Microsoft to have the serial unlocked. And no, my copy of windows is not illegal, all $104 of it is mine, I even have the reciept to post in the gallery if needs be. Man, advice is all I ask for, not the correct way to live life, next thing I know I will have some new religon forced upon me.....I had help from you all before and it helped temendously, all I ask for is a little more and

I AM NOT TRYING TO CRACK THE PROGRAM, I AM SIMPLEY TRYING TO REMOVE IT FROM MY SYSTEM SO THAT I CAN INSTALL THE COPY THAT I HAVE PURCHASED LEGALLY. YES IT WAS WRONG OF ME TO TRY AND GET AROUND THE COPYRIGHT BUT I REALIZE THAT NOW AND I WANT IT OFF OF THE SYSTEM.

thanks to all whom read this and help out without the morallity lesson. for all who think they need to remind me again that "you will not help me crack the program" need not reply, I have enough people thinking that they are better than me in the real world, don't need them in the virtual world.

alright, my rant is done, thank you all

Well, maybe you could try to do a search in the registry for 'adobe' and 'illustrator' and see what that brings up. Also, some programs like System Mechanic and others have an option to delete the entry in the "Add/Remove Programs" box, so that might help too. I'm sorry if I said anything to upset you, but I hope that you can get this problem straightened out, and that you will be able to use the program.

David,
Thanks for the advice, I will try and do that tonight/tomorrow. And no, you did not offend me at all you actually deffended me which I thank you for again. By the way, nice name, that's my wife's name, just spelled a little different.
(her name is davyda)
thanks alot, I will remove all Adobe/Illustrator entries from the reg and hopfully that will remove the rest of the program from my system.

All, thanks for not tearing me up again, as I said, I made a mistake and am just trying to correct it. Constructive criticism is always welcome though.

Have a nice weekend and for those of you who celebrate have a good holiday

Sincerly,
Shaun

Try RegCleaner 4.3 to locate the keys related for Illustrator in your registry.
It is an easy to use little proggy and will save you some time searching for the keys.

Everyone make mistakes so don`t worry about it.

Our site have strict rules regarding warez and crack related requests, so don`t feel offended if someone mis-understood your problem.

Regards

I have found this to be a very effective cleaner for bits and pieces of uninstalled programs in the registry.

Is there a workable fix for this??
I have a machine with the same problem. Used the trial and now I can't uninstall it to install the full version. Same errors and I have tried both Norton win doctor and regclean along with regedit by hand. I really don't want to reload windowXP.

If you don't have the option to uninstall the trial version via Start>Programs>Adobe>uninstall, then see if you can uninstall it via the Control Panel. Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs. If neither option is available, I'm sure Adobe will assist in the installation of any of their legally obtained products.
