Misc Buy, or not?

Hey, I'm thinking about buying a Thermaltake Xaser III V1000a. I'm not really into overclocking and maxing out my system for performance. However, I do like how the case looks and i have red and blue cathodes i can put in it as well. Do you think it is worth it on looks alone, or is this jsut for an experienced overclocker.

Welcome to TechIMO!

definately NOT worth it. now if you were an OC'er i'd say go for it. at this point you'd be better off going for a Chieftec full sized case, IMO.

Most of the chieftec cases i've seen are bootleg alienware cases. Does anyone know of pre-modded cases that arent generic alienware?

actually, the alienware cases are bootleg chieftec cases. chieftec originally designed and manufactured the cases, both Alienware and Antec (plus several other PC makers and PSU companies) purchase the cases and put their names on them. so... in reality a chieftec is the real thing. Alienware and Antec are just clones
