power supply for ebookman (USB)
I wanted to put this out to you guys and see if you had any ideas... I have a Franklin ebookman that uses 2 AAA batteries, and while they last pretty good, I am a slow reader and I am looking to get a power supply going for it. Franklin sells one that plugs into the usb connection, and it's only $10, but I would like to make one up myself if I could, cause I have the cable/power transformer that I'd need. Well, I have tried the +/- on connections 1 and 4, and have tried both 3v and 5v (variable powersupply) and nothing seems to work for me. Is this something that is going to be more complicated to do, like some sort of chip built into the supply they offer that tells the ebookman to use the power from usb instead of looking at the battery connections? Or am I missing something simple here? TIA for any input/ideas.
