I shamelessly ripped it from another thread in another forum. I forgot where as I had it in my pictures. Please go ahead and save it for yourself. It was meant to be shared.

I was at work when I posted earlier and waited until I got on earlier tonight to post it.Like I said, something like that should be shared!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I'll tell you what I believe about both platforms. Others may disagree, but that's OK. (just don't listen to them! )

--AMD--

Pros:

Best bang for the buck.

Higher Floating-Point operations.(programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere will run quite a bit quicker than running on Intel P4) As well as most programs will run just as good, if not better on an AMD then a P4. (IMO from experience)
I was under the impression that programs like photoshop were optimized for intel processors

okay, this is it. i'm now (for the fourth time) going to seriously consider a AMD XP. First off, with a stock fan/heat sink will the processor be ok? i wouldn't be doing any OCing, but it would be on pretty much 24/7/210. I only shut it off on Sunday. So what do you guys think?

I don't think that I'll touch overclocking with a 10-foot pole until sometime far in the future when I know more about this stuff.

as long as you aren't going to OC you will be fine with stock ( retail) heatsink and fan combo . mine is stock 2100 retail and it is never turned off . no problems at all .

I would add another 256MB to that setup, and you're good to go.
