Embededd elements gone

I am unsing Windows XP with IE 6. All updates and security packs.

All of a sudden some of the embedded elements in various web sites are gone.

I.e. have a look at www.sueddeutsche.de (yes I am German).

The links above the first article only show up as a box with a small red cross. In Netscape all is fine.

I already ran sfc /scannow and reinstalled IE.

How do I get IE to work again.

It's not broken, go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced. Now go down to Microsoft VM, play with the options. Even better go to Sun and download and install the Java runtime, then turn off VM.
Even after all that sometimes it will just happen because the page is being loaded from the cache, you can tell by clicking refresh it will re-load the page and attached graphics from the site, sometimes.
Not all WEB pages are created equal.
