wild idea, 8cm cd drive

my idea may already exist but if not it would be really cool. first, everybody has seen those small 8cm cdr's right? well, i know that regular cd-rom drives have a little secondary ring made for these, but i wonder if there is a drive made just for these, that would like fit into a 3.5" floppy drive bay? maybe it already exists. maybe it doesnt. maybe im crazy. i would like to hear any comments, etc. if you have them. i am only a novice electrician but it might be possible to build one w/ plans, etc. the end result would not serve any greater purpose than a regular cd-rom drive but i thought it would just be cool.

thanks for any comments

I don`t think they would be popular if available .. how much data can this 8cm CD hold? beside i can`t really see a good reason for using them ...

People who want a small size device might look over for a MO drive which uses small disks ...

But again, maybe someday we see them in most PCs .. who knows ...
