suddenly i'm glad i will be getting optimum online instead of @home... another great example of how a good thing can go very bad very quickly.

I'm one of those Oregon/Washington customers. I must say AT&T did a fine job of switching us over without interupting the service.
They have some bugs to work out, but so far so good and no interuption. I don't think any @home customer has to worry about their service. AT&T is going to do whatever ir takes to keep the customers they have and not lose any to slower DSL connections.

WOOHOOO! I'm back on-line!

excite@home shut off their equipment sometime Friday night, but AT&T migrated me over to their network this morning. The two days of downtime was tolerable. I applaud AT&T for moving quickly to restore service to the 850,000 people that excite@home abandoned.

I agree, my switchover was seemless here in oregon too. They did an exellent job as far as I am concerned.

I relize that others are not as fortunate and hopefully resolution will be forthcoming shortly.

My friend in Battle Creek with @home said that he is still having trouble getting on the internet, he's using his 56K right now also.

Well I have to go along with most of this post so far. I am in the Dallas area, we got the plug pulled for me, Sat Morning(12-01-01).I thought that was it. I have heard the stories about others fast internet pulling the plug and that was it for them. AT&T had me back up Monday Morning. It was a little slow, at first but this morning (tuesday) I am blazing all over the place. I even got a ticket for speeding thru some educational sites. Really AT&T has shown me something and I could not be happier. I hope this is over for a while, and can now settle down and not worry about being pulled at any time. New address arent bad either. Same user names and changes only to @attbi We did loose one extra e mail user name, 6 now instead of seven, and for those people who like long address to there personal web site are still getting 10 mb per name. My hat if I wore one would be off to At&T for a job well done.

Just having fun, Yes to that. 128 up/1.5 down. It may be me and i have not had time to test it all yet, but I have downloaded a couple of things and it seems faster to me.
