Seems I did a little boo boo.......

I accidently messed up some of the shortcuts for windows XP.

Seems when I ran the shortcut repair I deleted some stuff I shouldn't have. I have goback but I didn't notice till the next day and it didn't go back far enough.

Anyone know how to repair these???

I can't even run windows upgrade to try and fix it, says I need adminsitative user (which I am) when I go to the web site.

I have an upgrade windows XP from 98 if that helps.

Barak

Would you mind being a tad bit more specific?

If you simply deleted a shortcut---cant you easily go to the program and create another?

Like KOP said, why dont you just create new ones?
Have you tried Windows Update from the Add/Remove programs in Control Panel or the tools menu in IE?

I might be wrong (again), but it sounds like the shortcut removal tool identified a few shortcuts that haven't been used and he gave the go ahead to remove them.

I did the same thing and when I tried to put them back on the desktop that utility prevented it some how. I had to remove the programs then re-install them to get the short-cut back on the desktop.

I will never use that thing again as it does cause you a world of grief.
