Toshi vs Dell vs Sager/Alien

I've been browsing here for a couple of weeks now, so this is my first post. I'm looking for a desktop replacement. I've been doing research on the Sager 5660 clones, Dell 8200 and one that isn't mentioned much, Toshi 5205-s703. Any comments on the toshi? prices are all similar, all have great screens, 64mb video(toshi getforce 460), all same size. The only reservation I have with the Sager is the weight. I'll be plugged in at my desk mostly, but I will be hittting the road a couple times of the week. Just want to know about peoples experiences with the toshi vs others. Searching hasn't yielded much. Thanks.

They use alot of Toshiba laps at my dads office, and to my knowledge they have been very happy with them.. Consumer reports rated Toshiba number one in their latest laptop review. Sager and Alienware laptops were however not included in this review... My sister has an inspiron 8200 and shes been happy with it, but she just uses it for general college usage.

I bought one of these last Nov. and I love it. Fast, stable and you can't beat the price. Added 256 Mb memory and an external floppy.

Thanks pickel, but I was looking for something full featured like the sager, unless someone can show me a 14.1" screen with a ati 9000 chip? anyone, anyone

rumours have it, that the 8500 will be out today...

you will probably want to include it in your considerations.

apart from that i have a dell8200 and i love it -couldn't be happier in fact.
BUT
i have seen recent toshibas and they were great as well.
and then again i've never seen a sager myself but they get good reviews and a lot of appy ppl too.
so look at what you need your computer for and how much money you want to spend. brandwise i don't think you can go wrong with either of the three manufacturers.
