I'm working on my cousin's 433 Celeron system, installing a new hard drive.
The Amptron M748LMRT motherboard won't recognize the Western Digital 40Gb hard drive, at all. I go to Amptron's site and download the latest bios update (Feb2001) and flash the bios.
The bios now recognizes the drive, so I don't have to use the overlay program (EZbios)
Here's the gift! We can now upgrade this board to the 1Ghz Celeron, instead of the 433, which was the max before.
PS-This is a really wierd board!! It's AT/ATX (both connectors) and Slot1/Socket370 (both connections, use one or the other). Right now it's in an AT case with AT PS and 433 Celeron Socket370 processor.
