FPS vs. Refresh Rate

I found this great article that goes in depth (7 pages) explaining how the refresh rate of your monitor affects that quality of visual effects in games. It's something I think most people forget about when the go out and buy that $400 video card to get 200fps but their monitor can only display 60fps.

Theres more to $400+ cards than just the raw FPS power, features like pixel shading, vertex shading, anti-aliasing and the list goes on..... make the overall image better, and support cooler effects, like water.....

I think people who go for raw FPS, are just doing it for bragging rights in benchmarks, as it really doesn't make any difference to the human eye... best pilots in the world can see in 60fps, and thats the upper limit.
