Mailwasher doesn't have cydoor, I know because I run it and Spybot S&D hasn't found cydoor on my computer (yes, it's on the kill list). The ad banner on the top of the Mailwasher program is an ad for itself and is internally generated. If you donate $20 to the creator of Mailwasher, it disappears.

Most likely, it was installed by a script from a website.

If you could pinpoint the time it got into your system and what you did at that time, it would be much easier.

But without that knowledge it's quite impossible.

There are websites around that are able install some cra?py things without even asking you.

I had a customer call me and ask for more paging file since his system told him it's running out.
Found out he had 'finland_sex.exe' running which took 600mb of system resources. He hadn't installed anything, just entered some obscure website.

It comes prolly from one of your mails then. I don't think eudora itself is spyware.

Is it Cydoor, or just the Adcache directory for Cydoor? If it is just the Adcache directory that gets tagged, then you will have to set Adaware to ignore this problem until a better solution is found.

Eudora has no spyware. If you use the sponsored version, you have to put up with ads, though. I guess that last link wasn't that clear about this, but it is the truth.

For all versions of Eudora since 4.3.2, Ad-Aware finds a directory tree structure that mimics that of Cydoor spyware, but this is not Cydoor. The more recent versions of Ad-Aware have the possibility of marking items (such as the adcache directoty in Eudora) as ignored.
