Monsoon MH-505 are they any good?

I have about $150.00 to spend on a good set of computer speakers and would like some input on what to buy. I am going to use a SoundBlaster Audigy MP3 card with these speakers or the sound chip on my Epox motherboard. I'll use it mainly for music as well as watching DVD's.

Monsoon? NO WAY! They sound horrible. I reccomend:

http://www.alteclansing.com/download...LL%20SHEET.pdf

I listened to them. The clarity is unbelievable. The subwoofer, while about the size of your computer tower and 50 pounds, is AMAZING. Each speakers contains a tweeter and mid-range.

The specs on the page I provided, as you can see, are unbelievable. The sub is 53 watts powered with a 6.5" driver. This sub is nice, although not as good as Logitech's subwoofers. Trust me. These speakers are so amazing and the clarity is unbelievable.

I currently own the Logitech Z540's. The Logitech tweeters aren't half as clear as the Altec/Lansing but the subwoofer is really nice.

If you like nice subwoofers, get a Logitech model. The tweeters aren't as nice, but their patented subwoofer design won't let you down.

There is their selection.

At any rate, you are going to want to get a system from one of these two companies. When you have an idea, convey it to me first!

Not. Well, ...maybe Logitech. But I'd suggest neither.

Try Klipsch.

I'm talking about computer speakers. The kind you go into the computer store and press buttons on the long long rack of speakers to listen to. GO HERE:

As you can see, Logitech gets the vote in basically all of their articles. And I've listened to the Altec 621's and they are an awesome set of speakers at an unbelievably low price.

Oh! I forgot about those! A nice system! I was thinking of a different brand. Still, in terms of subwoofers Logitech is the best. Have you seen or heard those things? They're insane!
