I need a messenger popup stopper?
There must be a ms messenger pop-up stopper somewhere...any ideas gang.??

Just stop the MS Messenger service.

don't just stop the service, next time you reboot it will come right back.
start --> run --> services.msc
find "Messenger" service, and set it to Manual, then stop the service that way it won't come back.

appreciate the quick response but i use messenger, i just want to get ride of the dang ads that pop-up.

Ah you mean MSN Messenger, not Windows Messenger.. 2 different things altogether.

Yeah it does now, didn't have it when it started, nor when it shipped with SP1, but lately its been happening... sad.... thats why everyone should move on and use
