Sweet!
The first one had some ground breaking things in it! I only hope the second can expand on its strengths and fix it's weaknesses!

IMO the 1st one was great multiplayer due to the cool weapons and other new things, unfortunatly the single player was very linear. Hopefully 2 will be an improvement.

yeah I aggree. The first ones single player needed a lot. The multiplayer was a blast though! I remember the rail gun being banned until everyone one had one so it was fair!

If this game is anything like the PS2 version I would steer clear at all costs. It was a joke in every single aspect of a sequel escept for maybe the story.

but the PS2 version doesn't have multiplayer, does it? Red Faction 2 will hopefully have multiplayer, if nothing else. I loved the first one (was one of the first to get it on PS2) and will get the 2nd one.

Yes it does have MP and its a complete joke. The maps are horrible in design, the weapons are junk. The graphics uhm no comment. The geo-mod, well its no there. If this game didnt have the geo mod going for it it would rate about 2-3 on a 10 scale. However even w/ the limited geo-mod Voiltion incuded in the sequel I would only give it a 6 out of 10 and I think Im being generous. RF1 is leaps and bounds better than this game. Lets hope they completely revamp RF3.

That's a shame. Volition is capable of some really good games (think Descent, Freespace, and, well, RF1).

Weird...
IGN rated RF2 for PS2 @ 9 out of 10.
That's pretty good!!!
