WD WESTERN DIGITAL EIDE HARD DRIVE 120GB 7200RPM
768MB ddr ram
Gigabyte GA-7VAXP, VIA KT400 chipset 8X AGP ATX motherboard
AMD ATHLON XP 2200+/
ABIT SILURO GF4 TI4200-8X 128MB


ive seen alot of posts where people are having trouble with there MoBo set to 8x should i be worried about that? I havent bought this yet but i'm about to and i dont want to waste my money. any thoughts?

I wouldn't worry too much about it 8x AGP doesn't make a real difference in speed at the moment

No you shouldn`t, because even if it didn`t run at 8X AGP you can run it at 4X, which is about the same thing actually ...
8X doesn`t make that difference for a gamer...

PS. you might consider EPOX board with the same chipset .. or the new good nforce2 chipset instead

im not worried abotu it for speed, its just cheaper to get the 8x 128mb from new egg than to get the 4x 64mb from best buy here in town. i just dont want my games to crash.

From the reviews i read about this board i can tell you it is a very solid stable one ...

But Epox is still the king of speed for gamers and its exteremly stable ...

PS. With the nforce2 board you don`t have to be a sound card coz it has really great quality sound capabilities way more than the AC97 can offer ..
