.ppt to mpeg

I have been searching and searching for a tool to convert a .ppt file to a mpeg or avi file. I have made a powerpoint presentation and would like to be able to view it with windows media player. My ultimate goal is to burn it to a vcd so I can play it on a dvd. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.

Windows xp professional
office xp

Thanks, Naz

Did you try using MS camcorder then using avi2vcd?

That seems like a viable solution to me.
Otherwise check this out. Talks about converting to jpegs and using nero to create the VCD slideshow.

where can I get MS camcorder? I'll give it a shot.
However, Camtasia and Snagit didn't work and I think it's the same idea.
Camtasia cam close but it didn't really record it took a picture about every .5 second and made my presentation look like it was dragging.

Thanks,
Naz
