Systems Almost screwed up my system...

I've been having problems with win98 & my friend gave me a WinXP disk....

I was about to erase everything & install when I noticed it is RC1.....

That would mean it is the oldest release of XP, right?

It also said something about that this release would work only for 100 days....

I'm glad I read the 'readme.txt'

I guess I'll stay with win98 SE for now....

Which one is the final release of XP anyway?????

RC1 is Release Candidate 1 Beta. Yea, don't use it.

Well the problem with my system is nothing I can quickly fix...'cause I have a backup from about a month ago when everything was working ok....

I just though I would be time to try XP...since I hear it is so much better in performance and everything....

while XP is definitely quicker and more stable in my own experience it's easier to stay with 98SE cos u need new versions of software and stuff....for myself i found that my music recording software cubase didnt work on XP and from my use of it i find the whole thing a little too automated for my liking - on the occassions all the wizards don't work perfectly it's very tricky actually doing anything for yourself. but hey, thats just my opinion!
