need help guys......

ECS MB E7SK5A
512 samsung PC2100
Win XP
WD 60gig
3dfx Voodoo 5500

starts up, gets to windows xp screen, and then BSD that says
"Unmountable_Boot_Volume"...........
Any ideas?? Do I need to just do a clean reinstall?
tried fdisk mbr........to no avail

Is this a fresh Install with a fresh build?
Or did this error all of a sudden start showing up?

If this is a fresh build did you use the 80 wire cables or the old 40 wire? This can cause a unmountable boot volume.

just started showing up.......dad said he shut it down the other night, got up the next morn and this is what he got

ok N/M........somehow the partition was deleted........when i ran the repair on XP disk, it said no partitions defined.........hmmm imagine that.....LOL.......parents......I am half tempted to just give them this old Compuke p-75 I have as storage.....It only weighs about 75 lbs....LOL........ BTW, the only thing you need to do is secure your XP install.
In the BIOS select boot from IDE first.
And make your father's account one with no administrative privileges.!

ohhhh I plan on it.......I'm PW-ing the bios and just giving him user privileges........Actually tho' I don't think it was him.....My mother has a "friend" that thinks she knows EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING.....dad said she came over to "help" mom install something........then the next morn, it wouldn't boot.....hmmm Imagine that.......LOL I can't stand that woman....she's just one of those people you'd like to see get the @!@#@! smacked out of just for a giggle.. What a wench........ Not that I"m advocating violence..... Merry Christmas all
