Welcom to Techimo. Hmm kalispell huh? You fish Flathead a lot? anyway, You overclock from your bios. It would help if we knew what motheroboard you use. First you would want to raise your FSB in small increments. Then v-core voltage. Finally look for threads on howto unlock your processor. Again, it would help a lot if we knew what motherboard you use.

Depends on:
*how lucky you are with the chip
*the cooling inside your case
*your heatsink (Stock fan .. hmm.. not so good for OCing)
*MoBo, RAM, PSU and other parts` quality (must handle theFSB increase)

How hot is to hot?
Over 55C is too hot, IMO.
Still it is safe to reach 60C, but my XP1900+ OCed to 143FSB never reaches 50C at full load, it stays between 42C - 45C usually.

and how do i oc it?
You have to go into the BIOS and bump your FSB a little .. lets say 3MHz steps and test the stability ...

In general, most AMD CPUs will reach 140FSB without a problem.

Regards

That motherboard really has very few overclocking abilities if any. I think the only way to overclock that particular board is to goto the ecs website and download the latest drivers. good luck

I don't OC and I have several of those boards. There is a new OC bios available though at ocworkbench. I wouldn't think you should even try it with a stock hs/f.
