Linux MPEG Encoder
I am running SuSe 8.1 and i'm looking for an mpeg encoder to convert various video files to mpeg. I have searched and come up wit nothing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at transcode and MEncoder. dvd::rip is a GUI front-end for transcode, designed for easy encoding of DVD's with your codec of choice.
