Best Digital Camera under $150
...under $150 meaning, if you can find it anywhere from a retailer for under $150...preferrably not a refurb'ed one, but what the heck they're at least worth a look-at...
@ Amazon, JNR Music world is selling the Fuji FinePix A200 2MP Digital Camera for $139...but the memory cards a Fuji-specific, and 64MB costs $40...
I was also looking at a few of the Kodak's and Olympus cameras...
Any help is great...want 2MP preferred, but 1.3 should be fine if I have too...

That's strange that they would move away from industry standard digital film cards. My Finepix 1300 uses Smartmedia, which are super cheap (64MB about $20). Having a couple of those cards is necessary for long vacations.
I suggest you keep looking.

I never heard of the A200 but my daughter has an A201 and it is 2MP with superb quality pictures - but it uses Smart Media. I have never heard of Fuji using propietary memory.
I use a Fuji S602, and I am very pleased with it. My first ever digital camera was a 1.2MP Fuji and I was never disappointed even at that res.
I made a detour into Pentax, but was disappointed so I now stick with Fuji. Better the devil you know. The A201 is a fine camera, although limited features (what do you expect for the price)

I've gotten one of these Canon A200 2.1 mp cameras.
The resolution was astounding for a 2mp, it seemed more crisp than my Kodak DX3900
A pic of my cats blown up to about 400% showed no grain..
$179.00 at Dell, free S&H http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...0&refurbished= |

techtv did a round up of some dc under 200 bucks.. http://www.techtv.com/freshgear/prod...388164,00.html
depends on what you want the camera for.. if u r serious about taking pictures u might want to spend a little more and get a Olympus.. or another trusted name..
I've owned 3, 35mm Olympus cameras.. and they have all been the great.. I don't see how u can go wrong with them..
Canon makes pretty nice ones as well =) I know a few ppl have had Kodaks and been happy.. but that is what I currently own a Kodak digital camera.. and it has to be one of the worse cameras 'I've owned.. poor battery life.. bad resolution.. shotty software to connect it to a nt based machine.. auto focus doesn't work so well.. and limited features..

The camera Doc is showing is the 2.1 version of mine. I like it alot. We've had it about two years and it's held up very well. The only problem was that the strap broke. If you look at my pix in the gallery, it will give you an idea.
