of course it is. Microsoft always acts in our best interests cause they care so much for the indivdual user.

actually you could do multiple desktops all the way back in 2K from what i understand.

boo on spyware

if msft thinks they have the right to query my pc, they can go straight to hell.

If somebody wants to own pirated software, thats their business

if somebody wants to own porn of a certain type, thats their business...

but if msft thinks that they can just waltz in and take a picture, and then get the feds after me, they'll have to try and put my hdd back together after i pull the trigger on my case mounted shotgun.

I PROMOTE THE RESELLING OF DISCREET SOFTWARE!!!!

buy it sell it, and tell that fagort lawyer in California where to GO! WOOO!

while i do agree with you DPA that i don't like spyware or the idea of anyone spying on my computer, i don't agree with your reasoning. the thing with pirated software is that, simply put, it is illegal. it's not like there is a debate over whether copying software is legal or not. I disagree with spyware because it is not used on just suspects, but everyone. i think that if they want to use spyware on a computer, they should have to get a warrant for it, just like a wire-tap or a search.

Doesn't look that impressive to me. Will probably have more holes in it that a big block of swiss cheese. Seems like they are good at the eye candy and emulating linux. I have the real thing

WOW........... that's an idea that SHOULD BE a law.......

------

DPA ~~~ For the record..........

I DON'T think pirating software is "ok"
This only causes HONEST users to pay more money for legit copies of their software and give the RIAA and other groups more of a reason to try to infringe on my rights........thanks alot dude.

I DON'T think you have a "right" to any kind of "porn" material on your computer. Several types of "porn" material are illegal for a reason. Minors and others come to harm and are innocents. If you view it.....you are supporting it........ and that is deplorable. I'm sure it wouldn't be "okay" to you if it was your child....would it?

Perhaps you would like to rethink some of your statements??? Perhaps not. But now you know MHO .

I like some of the sublte changes. The clock in the log on menu. The log on menu's nice looking self, and some of the taskbar stuff (like having the frequant progs in the taskbar). I don't like the theme much though. Mind you I like it a lot better then XP's, but it still lacks a little something.

I also like how they are takign advantage of the 3d they are implementing in this OS. If you looks at the bar wtih the 3d clock you'll notice you can see through it a bit! Nice tough IMO! I have been waiting for an OS from MS that I can make stuff semi transparent! Notepad, and wordpad, my e-mail prog and IE. It could be cool.

actually that theme isn't too bad. I wasn't looking at it full sized. Still a bit light for my tastes, but all in all not bad.

yah, MS is ripping off Linux a bit with the virtual desktop thing. But hey, can you blame them? Why not try to take the things that make your competeters special and add them to your OS! It makes sense. I've never found XP's mulitple desktops to work very well. To much clicking for my tastes. LH's seems better cause you can actually see whats on what desktop. It'll be interesting to see what it's like!
