Looks nice, will still suck.

MacOS X and Linux just make so much more sense.

Bah humbug.

Well, i think technically XP's minimum are 128 MB ram so this one will probly be 192....even though it would recomend 384
thats my guess

Minimum Requirements:

PIV 2.0GHz (3GHz Reccommended)

512MB Memory (2GB Reccommended)

80Gigabyte Hard Drive

128MB Video Card
Probably have a system pricing system too... the slower your system is, the more you will have to pay to get XP to work. And there'll probably be subscription rates too, like Prepaid Cell Phones. "Keep your computer working for this month with our 80 minute computer card! Only $49.99!"

I say POO ON MSFT

hmm, some interesting stuff.

anyone notice that it has multiple desktops...not only that but 4 multiple desktops (the Linux default).

i like the look of the GUI a lot better than XP (i thought that XP looked stupid). This GUI looks really similar to a theme for KDE i saw once (not really sure which though).

Looks like MS is finally starting to look at some of the reasons people like Linux (unless it's a fluke)

doesn't look like any major changes, but some interesting ones non-the0less. if it wasn't for the EULA and the registration process (sure to be similar to XP), then i might acutally try it.

EDIT: and in fine computer geek fashion, the screenshot with the pictures has one of two girls in it

I couldnt imagine buying a computer and having to pay a monthly fee to use it (like i did with my cell phone). I sure hope Linux NEVER gets like that or I will be F*****ed

Yeah I had noticed the virtual desktops too and could only think that they were getting that from linux...also the new larger clock.
