gee, thank you for the spyware "browserwise"

hey,

for some reason this hellspawn garbage got installed on my PC. its a toolbar that ends up in Internet exploder, changes your start page to browserwise.com, and has a directory called "xupiter" under Program Files which conveniently doesnt have a remove file in its directory nor can it be removed. (although i didnt try in safe mode and didnt just want to delete a directory with executables)

but.........after scouring around some boards i DID find a program which will work with removing it since adaware didnt even detect this. its a spybot app and can be found

i had to find the english version but its there. the creator asks for a 5 dollar donation although the download is free. its definitely not as user friendly as adaware but it is very effective.

i didnt see anything about this at techimo after doing some searching so i figured id let whoever know. take care.

Xupiter has no uninstall function. Spybot S&D update 2002-09-22 and Ad-Aware reffile 042-24-09-2002 can remove it, however
