heat removal
Yes, in theory, IF THE ENTIRE CASE is painted black, not just the inside, it would radiate heat better. I know this because i am an astronomer, and differences in heat between the outside air and temps of the telescope lenses are bit***s. They screw up the whole image. Going by modern physics, even though black ABSORBS heat the most, it also RADIATES faster. The exchange is noticeable. I know it works because my last scope's tube was plain sonotube, then I painted it with flat black inside-out, and the cool-down time was way better then the unpainted surface. My current scope has a white tube exterior, and a smaller lense that's closer to the air, and it takes longer than the old model. Hope this helps.
