AHH! THE NOISE! Make it stop!
LMAO, I've been going on with a slightly annoying 'beep' comming OUT-OF my moniter, and we, frankly it's annoying. I've never herd it before, it's just a long-un-interupted beep, but goes away when I turn off my moniter... anyone have any idea what this is? It's a eMachines(that pretty much can explain it, eh?) <throws a cup of water at the moniter to turn off 'beep'>
CONQUERING THE WORM!!!!
Thanks, anyone/everyone

I should tickle myself-- The beep stoped when I posted this, BUT IT WILL COME BACK, OH YES! We can count on this, these things happen to always find me...::sniffle:::
Still open to anyone whom like to in-put on what they think this was.

What kind and model monitor do you have? Also, do you have speakers in you monitor and are they connected to the pc?
Does you monitor make a sound if your pc is off and the monitor is on?
Does your monitor make a sound if no one is there to listen?

Uhmn, I'm at school rite now, I'll look for what model it is, but I really doubt I will find one, because it's an eMachines, and everything is low-quality, so...
I do not have speakers on the moniter, but I've got speakers that are connected to the pc, but I doubt it's that, 'cause when I turn off the moniter the sound will stop, thanks for the help

Have you tried a "technical tap"?
eMachines thrive on that sort of thing...
(you know---where you WHACK it on the side like my Pops did to "fix" the old b+w TV?)

It may be that you’re hearing the vertical oscillator in the monitor. The range of tones would start at 60Hz and rise directly with vertical refresh rate. It would be a very low frequency tone, but it may be possible to have some internal component that resonates (vibrates) at a harmonic of the vertical frequency.
Try changing the vertical refresh rate to see what if any effect this has.

Technical Tap? Ha ha. I have used this form of repair many times and never heard it called that.

My monitor whines like that when i set the refresh rate to high. To set the refresh rate in windows you need to go to control panel -->> display -->> settings -->> advanced -->> adaptor and depending on the windows version it is somewhere on that panel

I believe eMachines use Samsung monitors... at least that is what they use to use, not sure about currently.
