Well, frankly I dunno.

There's a plugin battery pack that takes up a bay, and I prefer when running RT-PCRs to have it on AC, so that the battery won't run outta juice and compromise data collection during the run.

;-)

And I know that some do make a case for battery memory can happen for Li or NiMH; but being a ham, I am not really convinced.

The whole upshot is that I called Dell Tech Support. We troubleshot it to MB/CPU failure. Oopsey doodle! Oh well.. And I baby this thing too... Not like at home with my box, that I've dropped cable modems, stepped on hard drives and fried CPUs.... I can expect a catastrophic system failure there. Well, not expect, but understand!
