Thanks for the tip! That's pretty darn cheap! That may be an attractive alternative considering how I'd like to play with Gentoo and Debian. This would make that easy..

So much for me staying on topic.. Sorry Jkrohn, but posts are really popular!

Shawn

good to see your still biting nails jkrohn

did you follow the install instructions and get the gaming console out?

I found the instructions to be quite amusing myself - well at least up to 3 hours, then it starts to drag...

on the bright side, your rig will cleave through the compile compared to what I had to sit through

I love my removable hard drives ........... hard drives are cheap and I can play with several systems at once without investing alot of $$$
That's what I do,also.
I wouldnt have any living space if it were'nt for removable hdd trays
I use these kind(the GN210). They are $6.95 each+shpg.I've bought about 8 of them and they work fine.
I had'nt seen the one in crouse's link, but they look ok plus they have a 2nd fan..mmmh.Might have to try one out

Well, those finally finished and now I am installing all the goodies (xmms, opera, mplayer, etc )

Only proble I keep running into is all the little thing i forget to install

ie, I'm loading emu10k1 why isn't my sound working! hehe, maybe because alsa or oss isn't installed Amazing how many little things you overlook.

Good luck! Let us know how well it works in the end. From what you've seen so far is it really that much faster?
