IE Windows opening minimized...

When I click on a link in IE the new window opens minimized, but not just in the task bar, it will open with just the top border, on my screen. I then have to click on the border on top to open the page. How can I change this? I would like for it to open normaly. I looked for a registry entry and couldnt find one.

Help Please.

once you maxi the screen go to file and click on close the next time you open that page it should be that size. also dragging the edges out and clicking on close works . The other trick is to right click on the IE icon and go to properties and chose max window for some reason it only works on the ie icon in the task bar or in programs good luck (98se)

Cook_N, thanks but none of them worked. The first time I open IE it opens OK but when I click for example the link to the picture in this thread, it will open only as the small bar on top. I tried all 3 things that you said. The ones that half worked were the first two. but once I closed the first window that I had opened, and started another session of IE it would go back to the same thing.

Thats why I was wondering if there was a registry entry that I could change or something.

Your right Brainchild, I kinda didnt want to ask, but after a while it gets so damn annoying wondering why hasnt the picture loaded yet, and it has but I havent noticed it because when the small bar ontop opens it right on top of the old bar. So your basicly looking at the same page, with a different title bar.

Someone please help.

I found this while Googling .. if you didn`t do it already, i hope it helps

"First right click the IE icon next to the start button, choose Properties, and change it from 'normal' to 'maximized'.

Now open IE...and right click any link and choose OPEN IN NEW WINDOW. This will probably open again very small, so use the mouse to drag the edges of the window until it's the size you want it to be. DON'T click the Maximized button. Once you have it the size you want, close the FIRST window you opened.

Now close the new window you resized.

Reopen IE using the icon at the start button....it will open maximized now. Right click a link and choose open in new window, and it will open the same size you resized it to.

Hey thanks KenKun!! I actually did that while you were typing! Well kinda. First I opened the regular window (without going to the properties...) Then I opened a link it opened small, I then resized it. I did this 5 more times (Don't know if this was necessary, but I did it) then I closed all the windows in revers order. And PRESTO!! my windows open normally now!
