I have had both, and had my complaints with both. I guess its just cuz of the crappy service in my area. Overall, I like Cable better, because of the potentials. But it does get slowed down a lot. I used to be able to fly at ooh 3 in the morning. But I didnt like to do all my downloading when i was gonna be sleeping. DSL may be slower, but its consistant!

Most of the DSL lines are capped at 1.5mb/sec, while cable is capped at 3mb/sec and even higher in some cases. | I agree with you in general, but in the Detroit area (or at least in Pontiac), the cable has been capped off at aprox 1.5. There are even some areas where dsl is a bit faster than cable.

I'm on ADSL (the most commonly used transport method) and I've got 3mbps, too.
I agree... It's all dependant on the ISP.

i have cable (we have)
it's enough to surf and download.
and we have more than 3 computers in the local network.
but if DSL is cheaper than Cable so take DSL.

cable
Cable
1) More reliable
2) A bit faster
No debate.

Go look at DSLReports and you won't find any DSL ISPs among the speed leaders. http://www.dslreports.com/archive
OOL, of course, rocks! But you gotta live around here.
