Then they brought out pentium pro which sucked

so if i wanted to up a 200Mhz noMMX to a 233MMX i prob wont see a diff huh, i want to give the old P200 a lil extra life.. there not much i can do but some is good.

NO, the MMX series CPU's are "Dual-Voltage Core" processors.
ONLY If your mobo has a jumper marked VRE/non-VRE you can jump over to the VRE side to allow for the usage of the MMX processor.

Not really. The PP was simply too advanced for the time. And in some sense the PP lived on and had quite a fruitful life...what do you think the P2's and PIII's were? At their core they were only slightly modified and tweeked Pentium Pro's.

Usually I'd be one of the last people you'd see sticking up for Intel, but you gotta give credit where it's due. The PP was fine little chip.

Yep the Pentium Pros were great for server PCs due to their much larger L2 Cache
