Monitor suggestions please

TechonWeb has a good reputation - I believe I got the 753df thru them.
I've been ordering monitors thru Dell. You can probably get a good price, no tax, available rebate, and usually free UPS Ground shipping.
Samsung 955df - $260, no tax, free shipping, no rebate to mess with. . .
Too bad you just missed the 15% off all peripherals, including
monitors, including free shipping. But give www.Dell.com a try, maybe waiting for their many weekend special deals.
They carry Viewsonic as well. Hope this helps.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your responses. I ended up getting a Viewsonic P95+ (a black one). I like viewsonic and I love running high rez's, so I went for it. I got it for $309 from spartentech.com plus $44.75 s/h (ouch! - especially since they're only two days away by ups ground). They shipped same day and I'll be getting it tomorrow (along with the rest of my system).

I couldn't find anything, but really good reviews. So, I went with the same monitor. Techonweb.com had it for $271 plus $41 s/h! None of the resellers are near the pahandle of FL. Cheapest and best rated is where I go.
I still can't figure out why the black models are cheaper than the standard ones though. It always seems to be the other way around.
It also seems like this model is a bit of a step down from the p95f (without the plus). I can't really figure it out though. The resolutions are slightly different and the p95f has BNC connectors (what are those for anyway?). The p95f+ is cheaper and seems to have better refresh rates at the higher resolutions. Go figure.
Also, tomshardware.com had a good review of 19" monitors in March. Explains the whole shadow mask versus aperature grill, etc.

$271??? eeek! I searched for a supplier close to me (Ohio) because I needed the monitor asap. I'm guessing techonweb wouldn't have gotten it to Ohio in two days by ups ground though (I needed the monitor today), and the shipping cost for two day probably would have made up the difference in price. I dunno...

Yeah, two day shipping from techonweb.com would have been well over $100... You got a good deal.
I don't want to get the thing until the middle of next week. I'm not in that city yet. =)

I have the same XF-9e as birddog. 19", $220, worth it.
