Is there anyway to find out a persons cell phone number? Are they listed anywhere etc

I have the persons name and address. Dude wants me to find his buddies phone number. We are several states away. I dont have a cell phone so I dont know the first thing about the #'s or services etc. So the dude tells me to look on cingular's site. Then he says that I may have to hack it to get it lol. Dude thinks I'm Tom Cruise?? Anyway, is there any legit way to get the #?

Heh, this may sound odd, but do a Google serach, type in his full name and his State and possibly his street adress, in the normal Search bar... I found this out when I was bored one day, and it will list someones number but sometimes it wont work...

InfoSpace has name/address lookups.

I'm not so sure about Cell phones. I didn't think they were listed anywhere. You could try infospace likke Rick mentioned or maybe try another site called www.switchboard.com But like I said I'm not sure that cell phones are listed....
