USB hub and laptops with printer

we are putting laptops into rooms and want them all to print thru a usb hub that is attacthed to a printer. basically to share the printer.


we are running win2k and when we try to print all at once, one machine will start printing one document, the other three will time out saying the printer is not available. but when the first document is finished the error on the second laptop will go away start printing, and so forth with the third and fourth

is there a setting or software to manage these documents? or minize the error until it goes away?
