HOw do i recover files from FOUND.000 directory?

well i know the directory FOUND.000 was created because of an improper shut down of windows but i think i might need the files *.chk in there. While i was restarting, win2k was hanging without activity. During this time i had my opera browser running hoping that windows would automatically shut it down while i resetted.

after pressing the reset button on my case and botting back to win2k, i noticed that all my preferences and bookmarks had been removed from opera!
