mobo search
I'm looking for a mobo simular to this one it doesn't have to be able to a lightbung fast processor or anything, I want to build my own audio jukebox in a small case. Prefer one with on board lan, video, maybe audio but would rather use a better sound card as this will be used for audio only. I you have any ideas of a super small mobo let me know.

Well, if you had the money to drop on something like that, you could just disable the onboard sound and replace the PCI modem with a PCI SB128 or something. I don't know if you can get them in the half height cards if you even need a half height for that case.
Here's something else I found along the same lines. They'd be great for LAN boxes or just any kind of portable you want, though I'm not sure how sightly they'd be in a home entertainment center... http://www.spinserver.com/spin.html

Their specs say it is a Mini 1U form factor...
Looking for form factors, I found this: http://www.pcguide.com/ref/mbsys/mob...parison-c.html
From other searches, that looks like they are about the smallest available without a custom-made case, etc....

Thanks for the links so far. I plan to build this thing in a slot load dvd player case, using a pioneer slot load dvd player and a small lcd display for a music and player menu. I'm checking out the different size form factors now to see what would fit ok. I have this little PS out of an old pavilon puter that is only 140w so I hope it will power this thing -so will probly end up non AMD this time maybe a celly or pent. system.

well you might want to get a newer ps that's more like 300w, because 140 watts won't power much.

Has anyone ever used or heard any reviews on the Intel CA810E mobo? I've been thing of this as it support upto 1.0 pIII and has the Creative Sound Blaster onboard, onboard video, but I would have to and a nic to it.And it's 9.6 inches by 9.6 inches so it should fit fine.I also see that the CA810c has onboard lan.
BTW I found one on ebay I could probly get for under$20 including shipping but I have not bid yet.

storm2k the reason I was considering it was due to it's size, I see that most rack mount servers use the 140-250w for p4 systems so I figured a 140w would power say a small pIII or celly, as the only thing that will be in the case is a 20gig WD,and a pioneer slot load DVD posibly I may just end up putting in a cdrom and use it for audio only as this is what I'm pretty much looking for, so you don't think the 140 would be enough to do this I may try to find a small 250w server PS(smaller than a regular PS)
I may just get something like this and modify everything to fit the DVD player case.

most rackmount systems come with 300+ watt PSU's
btw..that 140 watt PSU will be fine. Remeber it came out of a puter with a HDD, CDROM, integrated everyting.
