Audio codec ?

Is there a program that will tell you information about an avi file such as what audio codec to use?

are you having trouble playing an avi file but have no sound?

or is this just a general question?

yep,

And I though I had all audio codecs

i used to have this problem all the time till i got

ACEMCP codecs

what is included with this codec

after i installed ACEMCP all the files that had no sounds worked like a charm

to bad there is not a standard audio codec out there. life would be so much easier

yeah I found out what could be my problem and to fix it is a filter called iviaudio.ax which is contained in the Nimo pack as well as an audio filter pack from www.doom9.org called audiofilters, however all links I have found for either have been down

Google search results for "Nimo codec pack" returns over 400 hits. It's gotta be there somewhere.

well thats enoying, I have found the iviaudio.ax file, heh it was in myacemp dir, I copied it to my winnt system dir and registered it, but still no sound

I know what you are saying but seriously I tried about 4 pages in google and all links for download were very similar and broken

now there's something I haven't tried "Grokster"
