doesn't winace unpack a bunch of different files too? Heard good things about its packing util too but never tried....just a suggestion!

The allaround utils don't do newer versions of different formats, alas, nor do older versions unpack archives created with newer versions.

Winace unpacks a lot of different files, so does winrar. Ace isn't a much used compression so winace might not be a good solution.
Me thinks winace uses a lot of resources (it's slow to load anyway).
Winzip has one thing that (at least) winrar doesn't, the ability to install things straight from the archive.
