Song Request Software?

Someone will be able to search and it will return the results of what was searched. Then the song/artist/ID number and the name that someone typed in will be sent back to the main computer somehow(Maybe email or something?).

So let's suppose I'm DJing a Rave (not likely...).

I set up my DJ stuff, and my PC running this 'software'.

Ravers can access this 'software' to search my music collection and request songs (either by PC/PDA/Internet???), which show up on my DJ PC. I then determine what to play.

This can be easily accomplished with a web server (Apache), DB (mySQL), and PHP (or ASP,JSP...). It can be done on a local network scale, or over internet (let 'em request stuff before the party even happens).

Now, do you want to use such software, or market such software?

Sorry Im not to sure what your asking in that message.
But I have apache installed, php installed, and MySQL installed, they are all working.
I spent the whole day today working on this stuff, I have made a very small database(34, I just used my playlist) of songs and song names and IDs.
I have started learning php and mysql, I have found out how to connect and select the database and a row of data.
[b]How would I query the data to make page look like this? I think the Song ID would need to be all that is sent to the server, I didnt fill in a value on that page.

Ok I got the output setup and everything, Just for the form I dont know, for some reason forms dont work on my install.
I tried just putting

<? echo( "Welcome to our Web site, $name!" ); ?>

and then going to to filename.php?name=thisismyname
and it tells me

Notice: Undefined variable: name in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\test\action.php on line 3
years old.
