My favorite sources for "stuff" are...
For computer parts on-line:
newegg.com
tigerdirect.com
For parts locally:
Central Computers
Fry's Electronics (it's a love-hate relationship)
Surplus Computers (in Santa Clara)
Jameco (in Belmont)
Weirdstuff (in Sunnyvale)
HSC Electronic Supply (in Santa Clara)
Foothill Electronics Flea Market (in Los Altos Hills)
Livermore Electronics Swapmeet (in...uhh....Livermore!)

I didn't see my new favorite place, TWCO.com. Thompson's Computer warehouse. Its in Tampa Florida. They have a 1-800 # and usually get my stuff 3 days after i place my order. All orders
under 150 lbs is only $6.95 shipping and the first order i got were 2 MoBo's 2 cpu's, 2 cdrw, cdroms, 1 dvdrom, 2 hdd's and a few other things, about $1000.00 total, all for the 6.95 shipping. First pc went together with no problems and the second mobo had a bad floppy controller so they shipped out the new one on tues. and picked the old one up on thurs. at my door, no shipping to pay out to send it back. Got the new one on friday. I have ordered 2 more times and so far everything is fine. Prices are a few $ higher than NewEgg but what you save on ship is worth it. They also send e-mail confirmations and tracking is available for your shipment date. I think they are awesome. Got burned at EconoPC. Wanted to charge me restock fee for the bad cpu i got from them. They sent me back the same bad cpu i had to pay shipping on to send it back. I know it was bad because a friend pulled his out of his pc to check it for me.I was out about $40.00 shipping and not counting all the long distance phone calls.

I got burned almost the same way at TCWO, only it was a HDD instead of a CPU.

Germ, I'm can't believe that because i've had good luck with them so far, maybe cause it was a large order. Well i think its a good place, i finally got this PC running smooth and i am happy about that. You weren't rude to them when you called, were you?

No, I wasn't rude. I ordered a HDD and they sent the wrong one. I called them with all the pertinent facts and they said send it back, but expected me to eat the shipping for their mistake.
It took a couple of phone calls and about three emails, but they finally did what they should have done to start with. They paid the return freight. I just don't think I want to use them again.

TWCO service is SUCK! sorry for my language. I will NEVER & NEVER call them again, I received my CPU in 12 days!!!!!! WTF sorry for my language. After 5days later, I purchased my CPU & I keep on calling TWCO CS told me I have to wait for another 2days, ok I wait. Still haven't receive after 2 days, & I call again & they said another 2 days again!!!!! Oh man!!!!! I am really mad than I order from Newegg only $2.00 more for that particular CPU.
