What to write with on a CD
I am going to burn some stuff for one of my uncles and was wondering what to write with. Some of the CDs will have a lot of stuff and I don't want to use a sharpie just in case I can't fit everything.
What do YOU guys use to write stuff on CDs?

Buy CD sticker type label maker and print your lables with tiny print. You can fit alot more that away than with a marker...
Most burn software has labling software with it..

just make sure it has a felt tip and it's permanent. that way you can write on it without scratching it or ruining the cd...

I use a Sharpie as well, read somewhere it can make some cd's skip even though you are writing on the "label" side, makes no sense to me...

You can get a double sided sharpie that has a very fine tip on one end (about the same size as a pen), depending on your printing you can fit a lot of information on a CD with one.
They are at staples.

I just guess what's on them half of the time. But when I care, I usually just make a little cd case out of paper and put the info on it or like Jacob with the sharpie.

I am going to go into town today and while I am there will look at label makers..I have some of those small sticker labels that are half the size of a floppy disk one, and someone told me NOT to use them because it's supposedly bad for the cd player?

| Yeah, a sticker like that can cause the CD to be way out of balance. I'm sure that would decrease the life of your CDROM. In extreme cases, the disk can shatter, throwing sharp plastic shards everywhere. Not good for you or your computer!
