Well, the Intel 810E chipset based mainboards come with on-board AGP and only other option would be to use PCI interface video cards. You cannot disable the on-board AGP display adapter on most of the mainboards. However, you can set the on-board AGP adapter as secondary and set the PCI video card as primary..

Get a mobo with AGP

If you're that concerned with video you'll ultimately want to buy a motherboard that comes with an AGP slot...you can get a motherboard combo for around $125...that will be a 1gb cpu with a mobo that has an AGP slot, 5 PCI slots, and an ISA or CNR slot also. Go to pricewatch and check it out!

However, back to your question...

PCI slot video card...maybe a Voodoo5, my friend has one and it performs nicely for a PCI card.

----------- ------- they look like this

i dont want to switch out my mb right now im just looking for a better video card than the onboard video i have right now.
is worth getting i dont need a high end card just something to play games on and basic pictures

Well, here's what an AGP slot would look like... At least this width unless it's an AGP Pro slot which is slightly wider...

Yes, the AGP slots are brown. If I remember some of the older MB cache slot were brown, but I don't know if the 810e is old enough??? AMR slots are brown too....

I have been wondering why most Celeron systems I see have onboard video and no AGP slot. Is this just a cost cutting measure? Are there any Celeron MB's with AGP slots? I am refering to the newer Celeron's 1Ghz and up.
