Do these drivers work with OEM Radeon?

I'm about to get some drivers form OmegaCorner. Heard that these work pretty good but do can they work with an OEM Radeon??

OEM only means that when you bought the product it did not come in the regualr box as the radeon. Its still a radeon and should work just fine

Quote:
An OEM (original equipment manufacturer) is a company that uses product components from one or more other companies to build a product that it sells under its own company name and brand. (The term is sometimes mistakenly used to refer to the company that supplies the components.) IBM is an example of a supplier to the OEM market (and IBM is also an OEM itself since it uses other companies' parts in some of its products).
Many computer hardware manufacturers that have their own brand-name products derive considerable revenue by reselling the product or key parts of it to OEM companies that seem to be competing in the same market. Arguments for selling to an OEM are that you may be able to make money from a market sector that your competitor already owns (perhaps because they have an existing customer base) and that you can be a more efficient producer because you sell and manufacture more of your product. Frequently, an OEM company differentiates itself from the company it buys parts from by adding features or using different selling concepts. Many OEM companies are selling a "solution" tailored to a particular vertical market.

Ben, it depends on the model, the 7000 model made by sapphire does not allow these drivers to work (unrecognized name of card), my OEM 7500 is actually an ATI card, not a powered by ATI card.

I say try it, worst you'll get is an error about it not being a valid radeon card.

Ok. Here's what happened.
I installed the OmegaDrivers and my video just suddenly slowed down tremendously. Video playback sucked too because it was so sloooooww. Also I forgot that my card had tv-out and the OmegaDrivers didn't offer support for that.
So now I'm back on the original drivers, and everything's running smoothly again.

Ben, what drivers are you using right now? I just upgraded to the "9009" drivers on my Radeon LE, and it's recognized as a Radeon 7200.

I went up 60 points in 3Dmark2001 score, so I'm happy. Very stable drivers, the only problem I had installing the new stuff was the old Multimedia Center is not compatible with the new drivers, so I had to download and install the latest one, along with the DVD player.

The new drivers gave me more tweaking options on the video, too

Hi Kuasimodem
I'm using the drivers that came with the OEM driver cd. They work rather well.
What's "9009" drivers??

I d/l'ed 3DMark2001 and ran it. Was kinda surprised when I only scored like a 1300 or something around there

there have been many reviews about oem video cards having chips that do not clock as high as their retail counterparts

don't really know if it is common or not just that it happens
