1. went in control panel/network connections
2. went in lan/high speed internet/local area connections
3. clicked on properties/selected internet protocol(tpc/ip)
4. obtained IP and DNS address automatically
5. Went into the setup page
6. typed MSHOME and mt.wh.phub.net.cable.rogers.com for host
name and domain
7. Typed in the info you supplied. (MAC and LAN address a different than you stated-cannot be changed...I think)
LAN - 00-04-5a-ec-bf-f9
WAN- 00-04-5a-ec-bf-fa
What should I put in as the WAN ip address and is the second DNS supposed to be 68.1 or 68.10?
Still no luck, please give me step-by-step help, I have no idea what I doing.
Sorry for the inconvinence but greatly appreciated.

from the looks of it mt.wh.phub.net.cable.rogers.com your using cable (im a genious or what?) did they give you a specific computer name? seomthing that start as CX11111-a? if so you need to put that in as the host name.
you should not have to change anything for the LAN or WAN. i don't even think you can. down below on the setup page you should have an area that says WAN Connection Type: make sure that is set to obtain ip automatically
if you go into the status page and look at the WAN section does it give you a number? for example my ip is 68.10.110.74
after the change unplug the modem let it set for 60 seconds, and unplg the router. fire up the router then fire up the modem
and log back into the router
go into status and see if you get a ip in the wan section
